The Retail Bulletin is an online retail news and information resource helping to keep retailers abreast of breaking news stories, company results and the latest research in the sector.
They also organise a range of retail events/conferences on topics such as: Human Resources, Customer Engagement, Omnichannel, Artificial Intelligence, Payments and International Expansion.
The Data Business have helped The Retail Bulletin for the last 3 years to build and sort their data to use across their business. They needed a supplier prospect and audience database that was relevant, current and easily accessible. In sectors where there are so many job movers, they also needed an ongoing system to help maintain these databases. The Data Business undertook an initial project providing an audit of their data, then carried out a comprehensive data cleansing process and set up relevant categorisation of organisations, job titles and seniority. Once completed they implemented a universe analysis and a gap analysis to identify organisations and contacts that were missing and agreed an on-going programme of research and replacement research to keep their data current. They helped to migrate their online subscriber data, their event attendees and marketing prospects into one central database (single customer view) and to ensure it is maintained in accordance to GDPR.
During the pandemic The Retail Bulletin started to offer their readers online virtual events which were very popular and the quality of their database meant they were able to get up and running with these very quickly and successfully.
The original project The Data Business undertook to help us with our database had immediate impact and the results in the first year were impressive. The Data Business continue to support us in maintaining and building our data pool and have helped us create one of the best retail and hospitality sector databases in the UK which has also helped ultimately in growing our revenues across the business. I am very glad we chose The Data Business and they have had a key role in growing our business.
