A return to events

In March 2022, two years after our last in-person exhibition, The Data Business made a return to its first in-person B2B event as Director, Chris and Sales Account Manager Barnaby visited Confex 2022.

No virtual meeting can substitute how effective and rewarding it is to network face-to-face again which makes Confex one of the best of its kind in the B2B events sector. Catching up with new and not so new faces again it was clear to see how the two-year pandemic had forced this resilient industry to change its approach with many event service providers and organisers keen to pick relationships back up after the hiatus.

We have also noticed such a demand from event organisers who come to us to cleanse, append and update their marketing databases as the hunt for new exhibitors and visitors gets underway. More importantly, event organisers who held large B2B marketing databases and CRMs before the pandemic are finding that significant volumes of contacts are no longer valid which has stunted marketing efforts at this crucial stage of recovery.

We come in by working with event organisers to cleanse attendee pre-and-post-event data which is often delivered in sub-standard condition often only including personal or generic emails, missing and incorrect information and non-categorised data. By finding the validated executive email contacts, filling contact and organisation information and categorising this data, we aim to provide an invaluable service to the marketing teams of event organisers.

When it comes to building fresh marketing list, our research team’s expertise allows us to penetrate into a specific targeted audience for our event organisers. Such research is conducted fresh for every project and the client determines the type of organisations to target, as well as the job titles and the overall volume, allowing them control over the project.

Although Covid-19 has made the last two years difficult for event organisers, there is no reason why the recovery has to be laborious. By outsourcing these crucial tasks to an experienced team at an affordable rate, our clients’ future marketing lists will be in the peak condition for the future.
